Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of Berkshire Bounty, ensuring fresh, nutritious food reaches those in need. Whether committing to a weekly route, picking up local produce, or helping at special events, your time and effort make a direct impact. We urgently need dedicated volunteers who can lift 30–40 lbs., drive designated routes, or step in as on-call support—sign up today and be a part of the fight against food insecurity in our community!

Volunteer Opportunities

Weekly Collection

Volunteers commit to a consistent day, time and route to complete each week. 1-2 volunteers per route. At least 1 person must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Special Events

In partnership with Berkshire United Way and other community partners, volunteers are needed for sorting and packing food during annual county-wide food distributions

Farm Harvest

Volunteers commit to being available to harvest fresh produce to be distributed to emergency food sites. Must be able to kneel, stand, and carry up to 40 lbs. Seasonal opportunity June-October in Sheffield.

Farm to Families

In partnership with Just Roots in Greenfield, and the Berkshire Fallon Health Collaborative, volunteers will be making home deliveries of farm fresh produce and protein. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and consent to a CORI check..

Fruit Tree Gleaning

On a seasonal basis volunteers pick and distribute fruit from Berkshire County resident’s fruit trees. Generally takes place September-October.

On Call

Occasionally fill in for volunteers who cannot fulfill their commitment.
