Mark Lefenfeld - Co-Founder and Co-President; A resident of Great Barrington, Mark has long been active in the community. He sat on the Great Barrington Finance Committee for many years and is also a past president of Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, a significantly sized congregation in Great Barrington. Mark is a retired attorney and investment banker. He holds a BA, JD and MBA. Mark co-founded Backyard Bounty of the Berkshires, the predecessor organization to Berkshire Bounty, with Jay Weintraub in 2015.

Jay Weintraub – Co-Founder and Co-President; Jay has lived in the Berkshires since 2001, and has a history of community involvement there. While residing in Alford, he conceived and instituted Alford-Assist, where town residents can post requests for help from neighbors. Jay was also a key member of the group that planned, installed and oversaw the creation of a municipally-owned fiber-optic network in Alford. Jay retired in 2012 after spending over 30 years as Wall Street research analyst with several firms, including heading up Corporate Bond Research at Merrill Lynch. He co-founded Backyard Bounty of the Berkshires, the predecessor organization to Berkshire Bounty, with Mark Lefenfeld in 2015. Jay is now a resident of Lee, along with his wife.

Brian Grossman - Grossman is an experienced general manager and brand marketer, specializing in developing and implementing innovative business strategies and marketing plans, content creation, research, technology platforms, and media strategy. He is currently CEO and co-founder of Artistory, a technology start-up based in the Berkshires. Brian held leadership positions at prominent sports, music, and consumer packaged goods companies, including SVP, Marketing of the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden. He also held management positions at XM Satellite Radio and General Mills. Brian received an AB from Harvard and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford. He lives in Great Barrington with wife, Karen, and their three children.

Margaret Moulton - Moulton is the Executive Director of Berkshire Grown, a local nonprofit that supports and promotes locally based agriculture as part of a healthy Berkshire economy and landscape. She has a background in community-building program development, photography, and education. She relocated to the Berkshires in 2015 with her husband and college-age daughters to work for the Trustees of Reservations. She holds an MFA in Photography and a BA in Philosophy.

Mel Greenberg – In addition, the Board would like to cite Mel Greenberg, for his longtime help for those suffering from food insecurity. He also founded Berkshires Bounty, a predecessor to our organization, more than 25 years ago to help remedy the issue. Mel passed away soon after Backyard Bounty merged with Berkshires Bounty during 2019. He is sorely missed by everyone in Berkshire Bounty and everyone who knew him and his good works.
